THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT THREE

Have we come so far from our nation’s first principles the balance of powers, our three branches of government have become one? I thought the whole point of our governmental construct was to insure not one person or branch could run away with power. The most unique and successful human society is coming apart at the seams and most, if not all, the culpability resides like a blanket of smog over Washington, DC.

If the American people don’t come out of their egocentric daze (I’m first speaking to myself) and get busy resetting our national identity, we will be rolling out the red carpet for the next totalitarian regime in the proud tradition of Stalin and Ceausescu. Alarmist? YES! It’s that late and that dangerous.

Pondering this subject today, my mind meandered to a couple similarities. Christianity worships a loving triune God, not three Gods, but one revealed in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Our nation was established on three separate but equal branches; executive, legislative, and judicial. Radical Islam worships one hateful god and believes in an omnipotent world ruler. One has produced the most hopeful and generous religion and government the Earth has ever seen. The other foments hatred, violence, and intolerance on a level seen repeatedly throughout world history.

The fallen nature of man will always fight against self-responsible liberty and God-loving independents will always fight for personal responsibility and freedom.

We are in an epic struggle in America. Will you join forces despite less important differences to defeat the enemies of prosperity from within and without?
