Identity Theft

Another poll is out indicating a majority desire to see more money confiscated from the wealthy. I am one of those I suppose would be considered non-wealthy since I’m neither a millionaire and nor do I make more than $250K (actually not even close) per year. There are two important flaws with this poll result.
First, spending someone else’s money is never a virtue. A good percentage of the commercials airing these days relate to protecting oneself from identity theft. This kind of robbery has the thief spending the victim’s money, either right out of their bank or posting to their credit accounts.
Could someone please explain to me the moral difference between this scenario and the one the majority from this survey pose? When will someone take a poll to reveal how many of these “tax the rich” advocates get government checks every month? Want to pose a moral solution to what the majority sees as the problem? Send more of your own damn money to the federal treasury!
Second, this poll asks the wrong question. Do the majority of the American people actually think the federal government should be given more money to spend?
Indisputable facts confirm the reason we have almost $15 trillion in national debt is directly the fault of irresponsible spending by our elected officials (by the way, which makes it our fault by complicity). The way to turn back the debt, restore economic stability, and reaffirm personal accountability is to defund spending in Washington going to anything other than their constitutional mandates. The primary of those are national defense and infrastructure (and no, that does not include NPR and Planned Parenthood).
The real polls open regularly where you can make a tangible difference for American exceptionalism. Fired big government power mongers and hire citizen servants every chance you get. Tell your existing representatives regularly to knock off their extra-constitutional activities and uphold their oath of office.
America’s identity has been stolen and must be restored.
