THINK ABOUT THE WORDS

In an Obama campaign video released yesterday, he previewed the message to be delivered in his state of the union address. Now please pay close attention to these words: “We can go in two directions. One is toward less opportunity and less fairness. Or we can fight for where I think we need to go: building an economy that works for everyone, not just a wealthy few.”
Anything in particular jump out at you other than poor grammar?
The most important word in this quote is also the shortest, “I.” Even when someone is trying to deceive, if you listen carefully and thoughtfully, they inevitably say what’s really on their minds. This president has done more to usurp power and circumvent the U.S. Constitution than any before. Now granted, he could not have done so much had the road not been paved by previous progressives in both major parties.
In this brief statement, Barack Obama has revealed his agenda and the content of his heart. He actually believes he knows more about life and what people need than all others. He therefore “thinks” only he can bring about the best social construct. Only he is qualified to judge what is fair. Once you process his breathtaking hubris, you can rationally confront the destruction he foments.
America was not founded on the preeminence of a leader. In fact, the original thirteen colonies sought to escape the tyranny of King George III. Our Declaration of Independence and Constitution were formed around the preeminence of God and a government organized to limit the power any one branch or person.
In the year of our Lord 2012, We the People will have arguably the most important decision to make since our nation’s birth. Will we push government back into its mandated limits or will we make clear the way to dictatorial oppression?
