Occupy Elsewhere

“Occupy cook Duncan McAfee said some of the homeless have shared blankets and tarps, but he’s wary that some just want a handout.”* The irony of this statement is galactic in size. Through the miasma of the rhetoric coming from this movement has come one clear demand, “Take from the one percent and spread it around to the ninety-nine.” All over America where these encampments have sprouted, the homeless have been attracted to the parallel lifestyle. So, if we look dispassionately at the facts, the Occupy movement and the homeless share at least a cultural base if not an ideological one.

Here’s where the objective, intellectually honest critic points out the absurdity of the Occupy movement. Occupiers look down on the homeless because they want something for nothing. Take just a second and ask yourself, “What is the form and function of redistribution of wealth?”

There seems to be something of a dichotomy in the morality expressed by this group. On one hand they say it is unjust that homes are foreclosed upon when the residents stop paying the mortgage and on the other, it is just to occupy what does not belong to them. This society will collapse upon itself when this flexible standard for right and wrong fully engulfs the minds of our citizens. We are watching the outplay of what’s been the didactic agenda of our public school system and the abdication of those charged with the inculcation of the Judeo-Christian ethic.

If I read history correctly, there’s one hope and only one for preserving the greatest nation since David’s Israel ever established on Earth; REVIVAL. The revival of fixed, biblical morality and revival of the standards and practices set forth by The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution.

I would also encourage those who do not want to live in that kind of nation to have the courage to do what our founders did when they left Europe to escape religious persecution; LEAVE AMERICA AND ESTABLISH YOUR MORAL-FREE COMMUNE ELSEWHERE.
